Clients Awarded $100,000 in Grants New Round for Kentucky Enterprise Fund Grant and Investment Applications

Four Northern Kentucky start-up companies received $25,000 grants through the Northern Kentucky ezone. The companies include: DiabetiTec, an emerging medical device company; Beneficiency One, a benefits software company; World e Business Solutions, a real estate software company; and Dito Solutions, a financial services software company. Statewide, nearly $1.5 million was distributed to companies in the form of grants and investments/convertible notes. The new round of funding opens October 16 th and ezone clients can apply for grants of $30,000 or other funding options ranging from $100,000 to $750,000 toward commercializing high- tech/high-growth companies and ideas. The grants will enable individuals or businesses to create and market new products, technologies and processes. The funding received from the state can assist or compliment companies whose strategy includes raising capital.

Announcement from KSTC:

The KSTC Executive Committee met September 10, 2008 to approve funding for the June-Sept 2008 Round. They awarded a total of $1,475,000 for this past round. They received 54 applications (48 grant & 6 investment level) and made awards to 14 companies (26%).  Of the 14 companies awarded, 4 were from the Northern Kentucky ICC Region.
